Default First steps towards restoration

Alright, so because Im a full-time student its hard for me to find time and money to work on my baby but this weekend i finally got a chance to make the first big step by removing most of the interior. Its pretty rough, the carpet fell apart like dust. I pulled the seats, carpet, and rear panels. The floors are rusted out where feet rest but the seat supports are in good shape except in the rear. I was wanting some opinions on replacing the floors and seats. I'm not going for a stock look really so i was wondering if i should replace the floors with oem reproduction pans or if new sheetmetal would do the trick (with proper protection and car of course). And i was going to refurbish the seats but lately I've seen a few setups with aftermarket racing seats installed and they looked really sharp, if i did use them i would be putting bucket seats in the rear also. Waddaya think?

Out of sheer convenience.. replace the whole pan with a reproduction unit. I did mine, and couldn't imagine doing it from scratch. Be sure to remove your existing pan in one piece if you can, so you can reference it when re-attaching little brackets and stuff to your new one. Take plenty of pics and notes. You WILL use them! Good Luck!! There are tons of experinced folks here who love helping out...check out the before and after pics... I was able to do it with all the advice that was given to me here..

rear bucket seats=meh. Personally, I think that would look pretty bad unless you are good with custom upholstery and can do something like the back seat of a porsche or something where they are individual seats but are connected together. It would look bad to just have 2 bucket seats in the back with an awkward gap between them.
