I am about to purchase a new set of shocks for my 67 mustang. Any suggestions?

Definitely agree with that. I used them for 6 years on my 67fb and I loved them. They are particularly stiff, but they handle very well and they're cheap.

I recently switched to Edelbrock IAS's in the front and am very impressed with them as well. They're smoother than the Gas-A-Justs on rough roads, but keep the car flatter in the corners. Catch is, I got them for $40 a pop (with 200mi on them)from a coworker. I don't know if I'd pay $70 per for new ones for marginal benefit over the KYB's.

 

I would say the benefits are far more than marginal since I've used both.

However shock choice depends on car usage and driver preference. Without knowing both of these the only thing anyone can recommend is what they personally like. Which might not nessecarily fit what is really needed.

 

If it is a stock daily driver, consider the KYB GR-2s. Softer than the Gas-Adjust and more comfortable for regular driving.

 

It depends on what you like in a daily driver. Some people like stiff as a board rides. I prefer handling over comfort, so my view is if it's a rough ride, oh well, part of the package.

 

I use the KYB gas-adjust in my 66 and they give it a nice ride in the front and the rear...

 

I have the TCP coil-over shocks up front, a little pricey for most and Edelbrocks IAS outback. The edelbrocks are good performance shocks as they can adjust on the fly to specific driving conditions. Look them up. A good priced, good quality shock are the KYB Gas-a-justs. Most stangs run them, from reading threads on shocks. Everyong has their favorite and you'll need to find yours. Love the KYBs. I run them on my 88 Bronc and 69 Mustang. They tend to be a little stiffer ride than some shocks, but are high quality. I also like the Bilsteins, but they are high dollar.

 

Daily driver. Not stock.... 347 stroker with a stage 3 zoom clutch with t-5.
