Default car show

theres a semi big car show thats being held in april. i have been to this one for three years now. the first time i entered i won the hardluck award because all the troubles i have with my car. this year the actual members of the car club who hold the event are judging the cars. i dont know which catagory to enter my car. my car is a 66 coupe with the orginal 200 auto trans, its in grey primer with a yellow deck lid. the interior is complete minus the seat back covers and headliner. the areas to chose from are street machine(1940-1972) muscle car(1964-1972) original car(1900-1972) hard luck and special interest. i know my car is no show car but a daily driver which im very proud of. what do u guys think i should enter as

Where is this car show? Street or original... depending on how strict they are on original...

its at paulding medows in dallas ga. they hold a 10,000 dollar giveaway, plus over 2000 in cash and prizes. i was leaning more toward original. im not sure how strict they are though

No 'work in progess' category? Nearly all the shows I've seen around here have had them, and I've been asked countless times why I never enter in that one.

As far as the constraints you're given, I'd say the 'original' category assuming you've got no major changes, or the 'special interest.'

if you want to have a chance, go for the hard luck or special interest or something. there are always old guys with waaaaaaay to much money to pay other ppl do make their cars amazing.

my pics are on the photobucket link. i wish they had a in work place but not this one. it makes no sense. i like to see the old mens face when i pull up with a primer car and park it next to 10000 dollar show cars.

Man, I've seen worn tires before, but that one has the frayed steel belt showing through. Go for original and take along your "before" photos.

haha, ya the one show that I have been in here is what was around me: Real dodge charger R/T with 440 and 6 pack (or something ridiculous like that), an extremely rare car that I had never heard of that was in concurs condition, an amazing custom vw bug, and an rx7 with like over 1000 hp. I just barely cracked my hood so as not to embarrass myself.
