I was just offered a power steering setup out of a 68 coupe pretty cheap. I have an early 67 which never had power steering installed before. Below is a photo of my steering box and the 1 piece solid steering column.
Was wondering if the 68 P/S setup would fit in our car? If so what parts should I make sure I get from him? Also any suggestions you have are welcomed.
Thanks

If the '68 is like my '69, you need the pump, ram cylinder, PS valve, hoses, and PS linkage. Basically, the PS system on these old cars are a power assist to the manual box. When the wheel is turned, the pump helps the movement via the cylinder ram. I don't think you even need to change the main linkage, just replace the linkage from pitman arm to the main linkage with the linkage that attached to the cylinder ram.
Someone posted a diagram a while back on the differences.

Remove the steering wheel from the steering column. Remove the steering box from the frame. The shaft comes out with the steering box. Then take all of this:

Take everything from the idler arm to the tie rods. Don't forget the pump, pump bracket, hoses, and pulleys (your pulleys are going to need an extra groove for the extra belt).
I've seen rebuild kits for these on ebay. Since you're buying used parts, you might want to check into rebuilding them before installation.

nassaubayman, That is a super clean steering setup. Where did you get that? Is it just replacment parts from somewhere or a kit? It looks similar to my orginal PS setup, but mine is 40 years old and starting to leak. Ripping out the old stuff and replacing may be in my future.
I converted from manual to power steering and from manual to power front disc brakes. All the stuff came from www.chockostang.com. This guy specializes in Ford power steering and brakes. All original / rebuilt stuff.
I just tried to go to his site, but it appears to be either down or gone. However, he can still be found on ebay. He sells a lot of his stuff there.
I think the steering package cost me $800 if I remember correctly. It included EVERYTHING except the fanbelt, fluid, and the rubber grommet that holds the hoses under the car.
