Default Engine problem

When I got my 69 coupe, the guy said the head gasket was bad but I never saw a leak. well, while trying to figure out why it was running rough, I noticed that a rocker arm was completely loose leave one valve not functioning. Well I bolted the rocker arm back into place and torqued it down. The car ran like a top after that but I found the coolant leak. However it seemed to be coming from the water pump area. Any clue if this is really a head gasket problem or am I now looking for cracked heads or block? I am looking to get the heads magnafluxed but not sure how to check the block for a crack. The compression on all of the cylinders are very good and within 5% of each other.

Thanks!

edit: it is a 302- D4DE-6015 with E5AE heads.

Default RE: Engine problem

Sounds like you got lucky.

Check the radiator while running (open with it cool though). If you see bubbles in the system, you likely have a bad head gasket or cracked head or block (I'd bet on the gasket though). If your compression is that close, I'm guessing you have no problem other than a leaky water pump gasket.
