sup you guys... im getting my car painted at the bodyshop and i bought the side decals for my 1969 mach1.... i was wondering if when they came out back in 1969 did they have the decals painted on or stickers...

And have you guys had that experence? i was thinking about painting the side lines on my car... has anyone done this before??

I'm no expert... but I believe the decals actually had reflective properties....

 

Mine were adhesive backed stickers. Hard to get on straight. As I recall they had some reflectivity to to them.

 

hmmmm, what would you guys do? paint or decal? im not sure what to do? any pros and cons? while painting your car....

 

That would be some pretty complex masking. Doesn't the stripe actually have "Mach I" imprinted on the front fender?

 

when i painted my car I decided to go with the decals because they are reflective (for safety reasons). Also the striping, colors, curves, and lettering would be hard to replicate with paint but of course can be done if you have a very professional painter.

 

yes it does say mach1 in the fender... but my uncle was telling me that it would look nicer with it painted.... so i just wanted to post it on here and see what you guys think...... i think im just going to have them as decals....
