Default 64.5 help needed

we have what i have been told is a 64.5 coupe... this was suggested due to the car having about 80% of the items listed for the 64.5...some things were changed by PO (alternator, horns, etc) the question is about the trans tunnel....i have tried to install a center console and can not seem to get the shift indicator plate up to the correct height to sit in proper position on the console... could this be a car that was made during the switch to 65 parts and they used whatever remaining parts that were left from 64.5? it has also been suggested that it could possibly have a convert tunnel not a coupe.....anyone have any input on this? my wife (it's her car) will not take no for an answer about putting in a console.....please HELP!!!!!! thanx don

here's a picture of one, but seller doesn't know if it's a convertible or coupe console.
maybe if you can identify if your's the same someone else might know what it is
