Default Ipod

I just got talking to a friend of mine. I think I know how to add sound keeping the original AM radio. AM radio feeds the dash speaker. I have two 6x9's in the back (JBL GTO927), a Blaupunkt PCA2120 Amp and a Blaupunkt Thb 200A powered sub all left over from my old car. I can hook up my Ipod directly to the Amplifier, and listen through the rear speakers... That way I don't have to cut the dash (not that I was) and still have my tunes with me.

You can feed an ipod into an rca line level input on an amp. The only problem is what do you do when you want to listen to the radio. 2 into 1 on an amp is not a very good idea, so you would have to uplug you ipod and plug in the radio when you wanted to switch, assuming you want to listen to AM.

Why don't you install a AM/FM radio to replace your AM and use the device for IPODS that allow you to listen through certain FM stations?

this really doesn't sound like a bad idea. why not just leave the am hooked to the dash speaker? do you really need hi-fi for am?
