Default adjustable strut rod/lower control arm question

i have a 67 mustang and looking to get adjustable strut rods for. i wanted to know if the ron morris performance adjustable strut rod requires the 68 lower control arms or if they are compatible with 67 lower control arms. from what ive seen at opentracker and rosehill performance parts, adjustable strut rods for 67 mustangs do require 68 lower control arms, i dont know if the ron morris ones are different because they did not mention it on their (ron morris) page.

has anyone bought adjustable strut rods from any of these providers? which one did you go with and are you happy with the results. im looking at strut rods from three different providers and cant decide.

Rosehill Performance Parts: $230

Ron Morris Performance: $299

strut rods for 67's are unique in that they only work for 67, not any other year. I wonder if they require 68 LCA's for a 67 so they dont have to make a separate model that has such a limited market?

Im partial to Opentracker, even though its moe expensive..

The factory strut rods on 67's are already adjustable. The aftermarket ones are a bit easier to adjust, but the factory ones will adjust just as well. That's what those 2 big nuts on each rod are on either side of the bushings.

I think the theory on theaftermarket ones is thatthey dont rely on a rubber bushing. The rubberflexes and therefor changes the geometry but the aftermarkets dontdo that, so it is always correct....or so thats what i've heard..

yes that is absolutely correct but the main advantage of "adjustable strut rods" is not the adjustability, it is the free moving pivot. By eliminating the bushings you free up suspension and improve handling and that is the reason to upgrade. Being able to easily adjust them is just an added benefit from of threading a heim joint on them.

I can vouch for the rosehill units. he is a good friend of mine and makes good stuff. Why don't you make a set using your original strut rods? My web page is for doing it is about making them for a 65 but the technique could be adapted.
