I have a friend who has his own shop and lowers all of his old hot rods and says he can cut the coils on mine and lower it how i want in the front. But i need some photos of some of yalls stangs so i can show him about what i want. Also what kind of rear leaf would you use to lower the rear? Someone told me the reverse eye leaf might be too low and to go with the mid-eye.

yes its fine as long as you dont heat them up with a torch like most morons doto lower the springand make them brittle. it will give me a stiffer ride also. the 620s arnt quite low enough for me.

620's will probably not give the ride height your looking for. I cut 1 coil from my 620's.

I wouldnt cut old coils either

Don't older coils get work hardened as a by product of them bouncing up and down all the time? Making them brittle anyway

Here is some info on my experience with lowering springs (and also cutting them):

http://www.fastbackmustang.com/Proje...ngInstall.aspx

I was supposed to get the 620's but they sent me the wrong ones (same size and everything just a stiffer/stronger spring). I cut a full coil w/ a hack saw to keep it from getting too hot. I used 5-leaf Mid-Eyes out back, but wish it was about 1/2" lower. I have some pics on the site of the stance, and a ton more if you would like to see others.

Good luck.
