Default building a 200 inline

I have a 200 l6 and I'm going to rebuild it. I already have all the parts really: headers, camshaft, bigger pistons, rocker arms, hardened pins etc.

What I'm wondering is if I do all this and have a stronger motor, is Nitrous a possibility? When I build it I want to do it right the first time and need to know if there is anything special I should do. I've got a new head with a triple single barrel carbs. Three injector plates maybe?

Any help is good. Ideas?

Yea the 200ci's are nearly indestructible engines. I would say it's a definate possibility. What kind of pistons did you get and where did you get them?

They are 3 over. I got them from clifford performane. I think its cliffordperformance.com

they also have 6 over there. I got all of the parts from them. I'm thinking about changing some things on the six though, so new prototype stuff is coming out with other companies.

clifford was a really user friendly and can do just about anything you can ask for.

Clifford makes one nice solid header for that engine. I put over 150,000 miles on mine before it rusted through.
You should consider the new aluminum head from Classic Inlines...

you should be fine running some nos as long as you do it right. a while back Hot Rod magazine bought an old ford something or other with a strait 6 and dumped a crapload of Nos into it before it blew.

I already have headers for it, jet coated and dual outlet. they work amazingly. I was thinking about that new head from classic inlines, but they only have intake manifolds for it that fit a double, or 4 brl carb. They don't have the triple single manifold yet, but its definately my next buy when its out of prototype stage.

any idea how much weight it cuts off the originol log head?

The aluminum head weighs 35 pounds. The original log weighed 75-85. A good bit if you ask me.

As far as the pistons go? Can I order just the pistons? Or did you order the super rebuild kit?

Wow, that is more of a drop than I thought. I really want to do that within the next year or so. Unless I can sell the head I have (but the tri intake is non-removable) Do they customize it to work with whatever piston size you use and things like that?

And I bought the super rebuild kit because it had everything I wanted, including the camshaft. When you call the office they can work with you, I'm sure they will just sell you the pistons.

Sounds good. Are they actual hardened pistons or jsut stock?

I am currently saving for the 2,ooo dollar assembled/ported/polished head. 800 bucks saved. 1200 to go.

I think they are not stock. They are the harder ones. And the 2000 head? I thought the aluminum one was only a thousand?
