Default Flowmaster 40 or 44

Which would be the best for my classic 302? The flowmaster 40s or 44s (or the Super 40/44)? I'm looking fora good deeptone, but still sets off car alarms .

Here is my plan:

1. Hooker headers

2. X pipe

3. Flowmasters

4. Not sure on what type of pipes (need some help)

5. Sweet Mach 1 style tips

This is just an exhaust clip of the Flowmaster Super 44's with the UPR O/R X-pipe on my 99 Mustang GT.

Ive got super44 and they sound GREAT! very deep and pretty loud. they are an improvment over the old style 40s. theres only one style 44 and its the super 44. the x will even out your sound and maybe a little raspier but will quite it down a bit. the long tube headers will make it loud and throaty. my advice is to go with long tubes if you can fit them. hookers!

heres a clip of my 70 from exhaust and accelleration

I just installed the Flowmaster Hushpower's. I love them.... My muffler shop suggested them, and I fell for it. I'm glad I did. His reason for using them was that they would tuck up under the car nice. And they do...

The 40's are the originals & the 44's are the newest version. I like the 40 Series myself and looking at the results of the poll it looks like it's the favorite. You definitely have to go with long tube headers and either an H or X pipe. More torque with H pipe more HP with X pipe. Take your pick. I prefer more torque over HP.

By the way this is a Camaro not a Mustang. But what a sick Camaro it is!

Here's a clip of my exhaust. I've got long tubes with an H-pipe, 2.5" piping and Flowmaster 40's.

I personally like the 40's but the 44's sound damn good to.

Hooker Aero Chambers. They'll outperform Flowmasters as well. I really need to get a sound clip of mine, but I need to find someone with a camrea to film a flyby....can't just have an idle clip and leave it at that!
