Default holley question

Hey guys I put my flowmaster 40 exhaust on today and fired up my 66.
I havent taped the oil pan yet for the paxton so thats not hooked up.
Sounds sweet! This thing is so rich its all white smoke and burns your eyes. havent messed with it yet due to the fact it is built for the blow thru set up.
Should this thing be like this at 6 lbs pressure on the gauge? And is it in or out on the side screws to lean this thing out @ idle?
Other than a couple of line leaks that needed tightening and a tick from the right side checking exhaust tomorrow, it seems fine. The dual fans kicked in and work very well sucked a pice of paper into the radiator. lol Getting closer and excited now. Tomorrow ill work on moving the fuel pump still looks like the trunk and then sealing off the rear from the rest of the car.

backing the screws out richens things up, but with forced induction there is going to be more air moving thru so its probably going to seem rich when the s/c isnt hooked up (i have no experience with s/c's but it makes sense in theory)

Thanks I was thinking that just a brand new engine looks like a junker with the white smoke puffing out the back. lol
Dyno day will help things out in a couple of months if that. Looks like i may be sportin primer grey @ this years events.

Yep, blower or no, the idle should be real close either way. No difference really at all.

How long did you run it? It could just be getting the oil out of the cylinders from assembly. But yeah, the idle tuning should basically be the same regardless.

Thanks Guys,
I ran it for a bout 5 min off and on. A few times to get it warm enough to see if the fans kicked on. They did so that was cool.
I was amazed it cranked back up after the mess I have with the wiring harness. Removed my dash for a cool custom thing Im building. so its crazy in there right now.

This morning I noticed the screws were about to fall out so they are backed out as far as they can go.
Im guessing run them in and work from there? Looks like I have a couple of cross thred bolts in my head AFR 185's thats causing a slight exhaust leak.
Guess those need to be heli coiled. Seems like they crossed up very easy. Never had that problem with other heads. Any way weekend comes ill get up some picks and maybe a vid. Thanks for the help.

it really bothers me that for the money people spend on AFR's they dont come with helicoiled ex holes from the factory.

and yeah, start at around 1 to 1.5 turns out

hanks thats a good starting point. Not happy having to do the bolt holes. Guess I might as well do them all when i pull the engine for final bay work.
