Default old school badges.....it it wrong?

I am reposteing this in tha classics to see what theold school guysthink

Let me start off by saying my first love was my 64 1/2, but she is gone ( gave away ... and yes i miss her). So now i have an 05 v6 drop top, and am getting a black buillit grill. I think it would be bad a$$ to have the old 260 badge intead of the tri-bar running ***** on the grill. Granted i would never put a cobra badge on a v6, or a non cobra realy, but is it wrong to put a 260 badge on a v6? i mean its close, like 245ci i think? Thoughts?

Also get Yellow stickers from AEM and the lighted Fast and Furious Faux NOS bottle from Pepboys. It will match the 4 foot ricer wing and neon package. Make sure you leave enough room in the passenger for a girl from time to time the Laptop computer mounts playstation 3 ,xbox 360 and 26 " dash mounted plasma's tends to eat up space.

You will forever be explaining what you have in the car, and why you put the badge on the car. Its your car, do what you want, but I wouldnt.

Close doesn't count except in horseshoes and hand grenades.

But if you custombored/stroked the 4.0 out to 260 CID you might have something that would not only be technically accurate butwould also be a littleinside joke as well. 0.020" overbore with a 3.50" strokewill get you there if you've got the $.

I feel ya. Your going for the retro look. I like it. Like others said. It is your car. Mod it the way you want. I would put all old school badges on.

I have also seen a retro kit for the new body styles that adds some chrome to the rear of the car around the tail lights.
