This is a great web site but why does it take sooo much longer to download than other mustang forums, it really takes the gloss of this site. Not complaining just curious why.

I have to assume coding. This site does not like to display, especially on slower connections. It's so bad at work (which has a slow connection to begin with) that it takes literally 2min to display a page. It'll finish loading fairly quickly, but for some reason it doesn't display the page content below the banner ad until every last piece of the page is loaded, which can take some time.

This is the only website I've had this problem with.

I find the site has always been somewhat slow. Been online since 92 and have worked in the IT field for 12 years. I find when viewing a post the page top and 1st post load fairly quickly but then a few seconds before the rest of the page loads. There is another few seconds before the right hand side advertisments are displayed.. which is a PITA at times when I go to click 'subscribe' just as it loads and shifts everything causing me to click the 'printable version' quite often.[:@]

Over all though it doesn't bother me much and I've become used to it. My home connection is Comcast on both a wireless laptop and fiber connected desktop. No real issues with other network connections.

Edit.. Have to agree with Starfury that its simply a coding and database issue.
