Default any cleveland owners.......

got a few pics of their distributor, i dont remember what spark plug wire goes where..... i only know 3 of them, and i took pics before i took them off, but they dont show enough[&:]

If you are looking at the engine from the front of the car, 11 o'clock position on the dizyis cylinder 1. If you go in a clockwise direction from there, it follows the firing order.
1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
Cylinders are numbered starting from the front left bank, 1-2-3-4; right bank, 5-6-7-8 (again looking from the front of the car towards the engine.

Plug #1 is closer to 1 than 11.

If you are unsure where position 1 is on the dizzy cap, one way to tell for sure is rotate your engine until the timing mark is dead on TDC then with the cap off the dizzy look at where the pickup is pointing. You may have to rotate the crank around several times until you findwhere cylinder 1 is between compression and power stroke (i.e. when cylinder 1 fires), but it ,mine is near 11 0'clock. You can then look at your cap and the corresponding plug is cylinder 1. Put the cap back on, plug the other wires in following the order above, and away you go.
