I have a 1967 mustang with a v8/c4 that is in need of a rebuild. I also have a salvage running low milage 1996 v6. I am wondering if the v6 would bolt in to the 67 with the aod trans without to much difficulty. I figure this would gain me a fresh enigine with probably more power than my old v8 and air conditioning. I would take as much off of the 96 as possible and than part out the rest. Hopefully that would net some $$ for a new paint job.

Sounds like alot of work for not much in return. Personally if I had my choice, it wouldnt be that engine. I have one in my 98 and its sad..I think they are 150hp at the flywheel
The mod motor is a lot of work for a tiny pay off and they have a long list of problems fords ditching it in the next 2 years for a push rod v8.Id use a 429scj over any mod motor any day 375hp 450 foot pounds stock or a nice 351c ho.
In your situation a rebuild, on the 302 is a simple solution as compared to changing to a EFI. For drivability, the EFI'sare much more mild mannered and fuel efficient, and can make good horsepower. For those of us that actually have Modulars in our classics, we love them.
