Default Modern Driveline...

I am installing a Modern Driveline clutch cable in my 69'. After looking at the directions it says to remove to clutch spring and cut the spring bracket off of the pedal... My question is if you do away with the spring, what returns the pedal when you depress it?

Anyone who has this set up PLEASE HELP... I am in the middle of the installation and would like to try and finish it today.

The clutch itself actually returns the pedal. That underdash spring is a return/over-center assist spring. It's primarily there to help actuate old style clutches, but it's not needed with newer diaphragm style clutches, especially with hydraulic/cable actuation.

They work great. I have a couple in operation. Its easier to mount the clevis and cable first, and then run it thru the firewallas it is to hook it up with the pedal in the carrier (done it both ways). Set the adjustment all the way in, then you can adjust later from up top, insted of having to go underneath. They are nice.
