Default Rear Valance woes

I seem to be coming up short trying to close the gap between my rear valence and quarter what is usually done to correct this? there is about 1/2inch gap on both sides, maybe less. How can i close this up?

You need to order the "Valance Stretcher" available from NPD or MU...

Actually, I have no idea except to try bolting it up and trying to pull everything into place.

Since my car is a restomod, I did what this guy did (here's his site: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2659961).

Yeah i can see you welded your rear valance to the quarters but that doesn't cure my gap issue ...

I closed the gap by butt-welding a piece of metal into the gap and filled over it. I also welded up the gap between the quarters and the rocker panel and filled it. I used Evercoat Metal-2-Metal filler. Not concours, but my car is not stock.
