Default More numbers

My neighbor has a 65 coupe, and I have a 66 coupe.
The 65 has a plate riveted to the inside of right fender. It reads:
2F15
65A
F22RM
Can anyone tell me what the numbers mean? The 65A=2door
hardtop.
Should my 66 have a similar plate?
Thanks, Lowell

Thanks for your reply, but I'm not talking about the door warranty tag. 6marc5 may have it right, he called it a buck tag. It is fastened to the right inner fender, under the hood. I guess it was just attached with to screws. This tag is about 2" X 3". Thanks for any help with these numbers.

a lot of time the buck tack are broken off etc. it might have been a different spot depending on which factory made it.

In '65-'66 the only plant that used buck tags was the Metuchen, NJ plant. The tag was to tell the welders/body workers on the assembly line about anything that needed to be done to that particular body in the way of holes, braces, brackets and such. This was dependent on the options for the car.
