any one know of any REPUTABLE paint/body shops in the Sacramento area? i know of two, one is gone and the other just blow me off. The net and yellow pages are useless and the local mustang parts houses SUCK.

Bruce-

I've got a friend who works at Collector Car Garage just off of Sunrise Blvd in Rancho Cordova, they do great work there. Talk to Mark (the owner) or Ed (my friend).

In addition to the cars on their website, Ed said I could post a couple pictures of his personal cars.

You can follow the complete build of the model A here:
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=153028

He did the Corvette in his garage and started the model A there, then he started working at CCG.

Mortman,
Please keep us posted on this thread... I am in the East Bay and am eventually going to be looking for a new paint job. I would be willing to take my ol girl out to Sac if its worth the trip. Thanks!

Went to see Mark today at collector cars shop, he’s a straight shooter, no BS. See the above pic’s from Troy of the model A, well its awesome. There’s many variables as to what he dose and what I like is if he think it looks off or indifferent he will discuss it with you. This not JUST another paint shop. He will deffinatly be getting my car, but unfortunately it will have to be done in stages due to the budget, also going to send my hood to him for my 06 gt. For those who wanted an update, all I can say is holy SH** he’s good and cares about what he does. Give Mark or Ed a call, go see the shop you will have your baby in there soon enough.
I have been to 4 shops, none have treated me the way I was treated today and I really enjoyed his NO BS POLICY (although never mentioned)
