65 parts on a 66
The hub caps are no indication of the car year because they are so easily changed.
One speed wipers on a Oct. 64 car would be normal.
My car was made Nov. 64, has 1 speed wipers.
On a October 65 car, I think would be unusuall.

my '66 has single speed wipers,..................
the '66 i had in high school, had seats that i know were factory, and they were two tone aqua,..........and were smooth,.........not the cross hatched ones that everyone else had.............my dad got that car from his friend at work, who bought it new,......he was kind of a character,...........he took his paychecks, and he would have jars, that he put so much money in each jar, after each paycheck. they were seperate "funds",..............when he got enough money in the "new car" jar, he bought a new car, and sold off the old one! he didnt change anything, it was as when he bought it new. sometimes stuff happens in the factory, and not everything goes "as planned",..........hub caps come and go though,...........people swap them around, it would have had the right year caps on em,.........but the other stuff, like the wiper motor, two speed was an option, so it could have had either coming out of the factory.

yep, your two speed wiper motor is an OPTION! some cars,..........that's the only option they got,........other then a radio!
it cost $2 or something,..............but not all cars got them. i've got a '66 gt hard top,.........4 speed, rally pac, etc,...........with the single speed wiper motor. car came out of dallas texas,...........not enough rain to worry about all that extra speed down there i guess!

I have a 65 and when I bought it it was stock. And it had 66 hubcaps on it.
As far a wiper speeds go, according to a 1965/66 Regular Production Options list that I have it shows that 2 speed wipers were includedwith the visibility group upgrade. This included:
remote control mirror
day/night mirror
2-speed electric wipers & washer
So if those ae upgrades I suppose non-remote control side view mirror, a day-only rear view mirror, and a single speed wiper motor were stock items.
