YOU have to paint it 1970 original ford mustang factory BLACK! color code A. This is the only possibleBLACK you can paint your mustang. anything else is WRONG! there is only one BLACK, BLACK. except for Raven BLACK, then there is two. but that is it! LOL. j/k but I am partial to Ford's black, I think it just looks right on a mustang. plus I think its always cool to tell people that you picked an factory color, even if it isn't the original color on the door tag. it odesn't really do anything for value, but I think it is tastefull. I also like Factory Black because it has a nice depth with the right amount of shine to it. Just my opinion.

Black is a BEYOCH! I have a new caddy and a new bike in black. Planned on painting my 66 coupe black also.
Im doing mine myself expect to pay big$$ to get a nice black from a paint shop. There is a lot more work to get the body ready for black.
But nothing is a sweet when its in its five min. window of being clean.

that is soo true, it looks great but impossible to keep clean, and it shows every dent, ding, and swirl mark. aggghhh! that is why my car is white! I can goa monthwithout washing it and it still looks great.

Well, my first thought was "I would never paint a vehicle black unless I was rich enough to repaint it once a month". Black shows absolutly every inperfection there is. Thing will damn near scratch if the wind blows lol....

But, also, matte black is awesome. Although not a standard color since its not shiny, I think it looks beastly on a 69!!! And scratches would be less of a concern...

yeah, just my hood is black on my car and it is a b!tch, the blue looks clean forever, but the black hood will need to be cleaned every day.

But I really do like the raven black previously mentioned, it is a great lookin color.
