Default INTERIOR?

Well the inside of the car is done now (all new pans and trunk patched, sealed and undercoated top and bottom). its still in the shop but i get it tomorrow since todays the rodeo and john fogerty is in town from ccr . So i want to get my sound deadner and new carpet in there but i dont know if i should do all of that untill the car is painted. everyone says interior is last. So should i wait to do the carpet or should i just put it in once the car has been repainted. it wont be another few months before i can save up enough to get the custom paint i want done to it. and the car shows are starting so im in a bind.

You must be in Houston. What shop did you have do the work? How much did it cost?

If it were me, I'd wait until it is painted. That said, you can remove carpet easily enough, and who cares if overspray gets on the sound deadener.

I would wait because I would fear having a paint smell embedded into the new carpet. And carpet does NOT come out easy, if you install it right, it should be glued to the floor...

But you can do the sound deadener with no worries

I never glue mine to the floor. Why would you need to?

it tends to fit and look better. put it this way, it made my carpet fit better and look good. also the article i read did the same thing.

The main part i noticed that is important on my car is the inner rocker panel area, i glued it in to give it a nice edge as well as help it clinge to the "wall"

The proper way to do it is to wait on the interior until it is painted. I have been collecting a bunch of interior parts I want to install, and will for fitment reassurance, but will take it all back out again when it goes in for paint. I think it will look better overall having it painted with the interior out and will be less of a hassle for the paint guys. I am also going to wait on the sound deadener too. I know the shows are coming up, I would wait and hit them next time.
