Default Weiand 174 Supercharger

Hello All,

I am toying with the idea of putting a Weiand 174 Blower on my '66, but am concerned about hood clearance.

I found this pic and wondered if it would fit without cutting the hood?

I guess the Webers would be 4" tall on top of the blower...

Anyone familiar with using this blower in a early 'stang and know how much room is left on top once the blower is bolted in place?

TIA!

I would guess it would be a very close fit. have you looked in to aftermarket hoods, like one with a scoop or a cowl hood? Those would give you some extra room to work with.

It's not gonna fit under most stock hoods. It'll depend on the year of the car, but pretty much count on needing a cowl hood at least.
