It is the 5.4litre ohc v8 exFord US. Runs about 350hp and 370 ftlbs torque out of the factory.

His was fitted with aTremec T3650 5speed.

The Tremecjust lunched itself on the freeway the other day. He's got another box from a wrecking yard and I can get his old one for zip.

What I want to know is can this be rebuilt to handle a heap more torque? I know you can get G-force stuff in a T-5 box. What about this model Tremec?

I would wanna put it behind my 408 eventually. That engine is around 600hp and 500+ ft lbs.
Is it worth pursuing and rebuilding or forget it?
