Default HP estimate pretty please

Yea I hate being that guy. I do have a race against a blown mercury marauder soon though and I'd like to know roughly where I'll stand.

Cars in the shop but here's what it's got: 302 boss roller block bored and stroked to a 363, TF twisted wedge 205 heads, hydraulic roller comp cam custom grind, victor jr. intake, barry grant race demon 650 vac sec carb, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, hooker long tube headers, Aode rebuilt trans, 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers, flycut forged aluminum pistons.

Good gawd. Well, if the cam is matched properly(which I'm sure it will be) it'll prolly be somewhere in the 400-450rwhp area without much difficulty. Maybe more.

Thanks. The Marauder weighs 4100 lbs but has 450 rwhp with the blower. Since my stang probably weighs 3100 lbs with me in it and maybe 360-400 rwhp, I'm thinking I'll be ok. It's a friendly race with a friend at a drag strip.

In all reality the match up is going to be similar rwhp(that 363 will be an absolute torque animal with the 650 carb and those heads, plus the extra bore and stroke), though he may have a better torque curve if it's a positive displacement blower(roots or screw). You'll have a half ton weight advantage though, give or take. If you can drive you should beat him pretty hard.

Yea all I know is it's a pro charger that sent his 330 to 500 at the crank. He's running mid to high 12's. With my setup, I'm guessing I'll have 350 rwhp. That should send me into the mid 12's. I'm not worried about the race, with my new setup I just wanna have some fun this year.

you got decent traction bars or links? (it would be a shame if you dumped the rpm and the rear end wrapped up on you)

With good traction you should be able to run 11's if the engine is built right and you can drive. Most good n/a 347's can run 11's, and the 363 has the bigger bore advantage. That extra piston surface area makes a huge difference for making power, the NHRA Pro Stockers try to run the biggest bore they can(they're up around 4.600 or 4.700 bores).
