Default t5?

http://nh.craigslist.org/pts/617143231.htmlis it even a t5? and should i offer the full 175 if i decide to try and buy it? it says up to 300hp..do you think it could take a mild 351. i know it would be more than the 300, but i was hoping it might be able to, at least until i can rebuild it, and make it stronger

The first one looks like it might work. Stay away for the 4 cylinder ones I'm pretty sure the input shaft is too short to put behind a V8. There is some good T5 ID data in the FAQ if the tag is still on the trans.

That is up to you but Scott makes some good points. Might only be good for parts. I'm sure there is better stuff to be had. A bargin is not always a bagin, if you know what I mean.

That first one is nasty looking god knows how hard its been beat be ready to rebuild that one.The 4 banger one i wouldn't use its geared differently then the v8 one you might not like it.
