i'm going to get my front springs from them to replace the huge ones mustangs plus gave me, which they pretty much told me "not our fault you didn't specify" which is a total bs lie.
So when you did not "specify" they assumed that you wanted big block springs? Well this is just a natural assumption since most Mustangs are certainly big blocks, and a parts guy should just assume this when in doubt,,,, I mean this makes more sense than asking right?

You know it sucks whensomeonesells you the wrong stuff, but it becomes personal with me when this action somehow becomes "my fault",because these"professionals"arereally just bigPUSSIESwho will not even attempt to make things right.

It sounds as if Mustang + customer service might be a bit too personal.... Maybe the first hint might have been whenyousaw the sign that said"grabankles for customer service".... [8D]

I had no problems with m+ when got my grab a track 5 leaf mid eye and a few other parts.
I liked the grab aa track stuff I had seen so went with them. Everything else they have is highly priced.

M unlimited has been hit and miss depends on who is taking my order.
I would say any of these kind of biz the management wouldnt be pleased with bad service.
Climb the food chain and find the counter monkeys boss.
Its too easy to let these guys **** you off and you just go away. They dont care they still get paid.
Find out who is the manager contact them and stay calm and reasonable then see what happens.
M plus is about 30 min from me in GA. So i use them quite a bit when I can.
The worst times I had problems with Unlimited the problem was staff and they seem to have turned over a few counter guys along the way.
BTW counter and phone order are the same guys. I do believe there.

Im about to start the process all over again re-doing the fast back once done with my coupe.
Year one is about a hour away Ive always been impressed with them @ shows and events. Going to give them and NPD a go.

I read this thread just in time. I was going to order the suspension kit from M+ to replace the sagging rear and worn stock springs and add a bigger front sway bar. Guess I will go somewhere else. I regularly carry passengers and was going to order their 4 leaf "performance" springs (firmer than stock or GT). Any recommendations on a good place to go for a similar set of springs?

If I have to get springs I'll prolly go Maier. Otherwise, I'm saving up for the Evolution Motorsports Watts/3-link setup.

I got to http://www.mustangcountryintl.com/.
Its like 25 minutes from my house.
They have outstanding service and the cheapest prices compared to the other mustang stores ive been to.
I recommend going to Mustang Country if you live around there.

The last time I was in M+ they were training a new batch of counter guys. None were as old as I was (I think I was 20 at the time) and none seemed to know much of anything about classic mustangs. I wasn't impressed. Needless to say, I don't call there unless I really have to, and I don't go in unless I know what part I'm looking for and where it is in the catalog (because their catalog is the only part # reference they have). I'll still probably get my springs there, out of necessity, but I don't shop there for things I can get elsewhere.

I usually prefer to shop at Glazier's Mustang Barn. One of the guys that works there during the summer is on another classic forum, and I've always had very good customer service there. I believeFred Glazier answerseven answers the phone during certain times of the year. Often if they don't have it, they can find it, or direct you to someone who does. They're also a shop that does a lot of restoration/restomod work, so you can usually talk to someone who knows the practical side of things as well to get a technical explanation. I don't have a problem waiting a couple more days for things if I can get good customer service.

Summit are great& fast delivery, even to Japan. They have never stuffed up an order and everything they sell
seems to be reasonable quality.

Mustangs Unlimited, are slower to ship, but the product has always arrived. No real problems with them at all.

Mustang Depot, they managed to stuff up an order big time and then protested it was not their fault but their
supplier. One of their sales reps actually had the gall to insult me when I was asking why my order was 6 weeks late
( not including shipping time, they took my cash and 6 weeks later still did not have all the parts I ordered
despite promising that it would all arrive in 3-4 weeks ), I had paid up front. That was my first and last order with them.

We should get a list together of good suppliers. Oh I should mentions that JEGS were excellent also when I dealt with
them. I have spent about US$20K on parts in the last 6 months and Summit, Mustangs Unlimited and JEGS have most
of that business and will the rest of my business. There are other good suppliers also so I hope others pipe up about them
so we all can know.
