build date on a 65?

Default build date on a 65?

new forum guy here with a question

we recently bought a 65 to restore, we had a 64 1/2 about 18 years ago and decided to get another one

in a parts catalogue i have it asks on some parts if it was built after 8/17/64 or before 4/15/66 how can i find out this information?

4/15/66 is very common on engine differentiation I believe. You should check on the engine date as well if you are not certain that the engine is original and you're buying engine parts
you find the date code at the front right on engine when you stand right in front of it. Just where the block ends and head starts. to the right of distributor

i'll see if the tag is still on the door

it has a 302 in it so i dont know what year the motor or trans are

sevierville tennessee, bought the car in powell tennessee, i guess over the years it's made it's way south
