Default dash speaker replacement

I would like to replace the speaker in my dash. I have a 67 convertible I am restoring so the entire interior is taken apart. From what I can see, I need to remove the dash pad. The screws for the dash pad a located so I must remove the windshield first. Does anyone know an easier way to replace this speaker?

I think when I took mine out, it came out from underneath the dash. I'm not 100% sure about taking everything apart to get all the dash parts out, it was over a year ago.

Not sure on a '67 (mine's a '66) but it should just come out from the top. Of course with the windshield still in the clearances are tight, but just remove the grille (2 screws) then unscrew the speaker.

Like I said though, maybe a '67 is different.
