Default Engine Oil Priming Question

What is the best way to prime a 302 with oil before turnig it over for the first time.

I have heard there is some kind of tool that can be used in the distributor port but that might have been for a chevy engine. (Sorry forthe blasfamy about the word chevy) LOL

Default RE: Engine Oil Priming Question

I just use a speed wrench with a 1/4" deep hex socket on the end and prime it by hand. That's if you have a speed wrench and a 1/4" deep hex socket. Otherwise the shaft from an old distributor without the geat on it chucked into a drill works as well.
