Locked Rear?
OK, way back when, i had my car up on jackstands i started it up and put it in gear and both rear tires were spinning (same speed) does this mean it is a locked rearend?
If it is how much does one of those go for (the whole axle with drum brakes)
After a year of having my mustang i am still new to all of this ughh.

Unless the brakes are dragging on one side, having both tires turn like you described doesn't mean anything. This will happen even with a standard open differential.
With the car idling, can you stop one tire by dragging your shoe against it? If so - standard open rear axle.

be careful doing that.
the better (safer idea) would be to: have it on jackstands in gear, motor off.
then turn one wheel. if the other side rotates the opposite way: open diff. if it turns the same way: not open

OK, i should have gave more details, I KNOW it isn't open cuz i dont get a peg leg..
so i know it is either locked, or posi (ford called it traction loc i think?) but i am not sure which.
