Default Tempature Senser Installation

With the installation of a electrical temp senser is there a problem using teflon tape when installing. I thought I read some where that said you shouldn't use anything on the electrical senser because it doesn't make good contact with the blockwhich will affect howaccurate itwill read.Any thoughts on this . Thanks

I use a little tfe paist. You can check it with a meter (outter part of brass to engine block, should read 0 ohms). I have had no problems.
