There SOoooooooo.... much to do.
the 68 COupe is a present for my wifes birthday on June 8th., it was a secret until about a month ago but here is still what needs to be.
But i only have weekends to work on it.
Paint.... shop said it would be painted this week.
engine.. we took out engine for new seals and paint this past weekend. Mechanic said it would only take a few days.
redo interior w/ seats, carpet headline.. ordered interior kit on Sunday just waiting for delivery. planning on doing this ourselves.
3 point seatbelt install... ordered with interior
front disk brakes.... disk brakes on the way should be here in a day or two.
molding, grill, weatherstripping emblems.. etc. body shop will take care after paint.
8" rear end .. still looking but this is a direct few hours bolt in, right???
rear drum brake rebuild
sound system.. nothing too fancy or outrageous, 2 2x9 2 6x5 maybe a woofer tube and an amp
AM I GOIN TO MAKE IT, I AM stressing hard

RE: 8 weeks
what rear's in it now?
if the housing is from a 67-69 then it should bolt right in and its pretty easy.
you may have to measure the yoke and make sure you have the right u-joints as there are different sized yokesand differnet style u-joints

How is the transmission?
Oh and do you guys have kids? If yes, does your coupe have seat belts in the back seats? My 67 didn't come with seat belts. Might want to add those, it looks like you're doing a lot of safety type upgrades.....
Post pictures too! We're all about those here.

RE: 8 weeks
I thought seat belts were standars starting in 66. My 66 had 4 lap belts and I added the 3 point for the front after looking at my wood sterring wheel one day and realizing that would hurt if my face hit it.
