I need a few tips....
I currently have a 1966 Mustang GT with a 302 (think the 302 came out of a 70's stang, not a boss though), you can see my car in the link in my signature.
Anyways, aways down the road when it is not my daily driver, I am thinking about getting some new heads for it, I would like to go with Edelbrock heads, but there are so many different types, which one would be best?
Also, I would want to upgrade to a 9" rear end, is there a certain company that makes these? with the new rear, I would like to change the gears as well, I don't know much about gears, but I would like acceleartion to be faster, and top speed to be slower, rather than the other way around, what would be the best gear sets to go with?
Thanks, I won't be doing any of this that soon, but it still helps to know.

Here is some good information on the 9" rear question.

A nine inch is a great rear but with an automatic, an eight inch can take quite a bit. It would be much easier and cheaper to upgrade your 8" to a better gear and posi, if yours is an open diff. With a three speed, IMO I wouldn't go higher than a 3.50 gear. Heck, we used to run 4.62's in 8" years ago and most fast street cars were running anything between 4.56's to 4.88's but gas was $.35 a gallon! As for heads, I've heard good things about Edelbrock Performer RPM's. IIRC, they are available with 1.90 and 2.02 intake valves.

Yea, all the aftermarket heads are expensive but even the HiPo or 351w heads don't flow as well.

Don't overlook the Ford Motorsports GT-40x heads. You can get them in cast iron at a reasonable price and aluminum for over a grand. Air Flow Reasearch (ARF) also makes killer heads for SBfords.
