Which engine should i buy
Ok first off, i think this is my first post, so hey everyone nice to meet you.
My car is a 72 ford mustang it has a 302 2v and about 90,000 miles on it. I have done a cam, and manifold swap with a edelbrock cam and intake and i have a holley 650 carb on it, Well i am not satisfied in the least.
Heres my question i have a guy that has a 351 C and a 429 engine for sale. I am not sure which one is gonna be best for me, they are both about the same price about $300.00 and were running when they were pulled from the cars. Will both fit in my car without major modification. Which is a better option to with?

Rebuild the engine you have. You will need a tranny, and drivelineto go with either of those 300 dollar boat anchors. Besides, running before pulled does not mean a whole lot as they are probably just as tired as the engine you have.
Tell us your plans for the car. Daily driver, drag car, weekend warrior, etc? That will help towards the decision.
By the way, the way I see it you will have to rebuild the engines either way...

I agree with the 347 idea, thats what I did. I would sugesst you just getting a roller block to build though. I have rounded 2 flat tappets off in a row and everything is pointing to bad cams. This problem gets very expensive very quickly! If you get a later block, you can run either a flat tappet or a roller cam ( go roller) and you wont have to worry about this at all.
