Just curious if anyone out there knows how many splines are on the Ford 9" with axle trim code 2? I'm trying to see if anyone knows before disassembly of rear end. Thanks for any help.

If you can post the metal axle tag on the 3rd member bolts or http://www.kevinstang.com/Ninecase.htm scroll down to where it says axle shafts.

More than likely a 28 spline axle. However, it is best if you just pop out the axle and count. It is not a hard teardown. Beaware of the seal and don't nick it.
