Default Another AOD question

Hey guys. I finally got the AOD and 5.0L dropped in last weekend. Everything went smooth, other than my finger getting caught between the frame mount and motor mount (ouch!). I proceeded to hook everything up, and found that the Throttle Valve Cable from the Lincoln just might work. Has any body tried this? I'd get a Lokar, but I'm on a VERY tight college budget, and I have todo whatI canto save cash. Any help will really be appreciated. Also, if any body has recommendations on the best tutorial for adjusting the cable, I'd appreciate that also. Thanks in advance.

the only way to know is to see if you can make it work. Just make sure you set it up correctly and get the correct fluid pressure so you don't burn up the trans.

I just put one in my 72 rag. It had a 302/c4. Pulled that put 351c/AOD. I did by the Lokar and did use there little tool to adjust. But I feel it was best adjusted when I put together a pressure gause set up and adjusted it that way. Read a lot about this and was not sure I made the right decision. But now that I have this thing dialed in..........looking for another to put behind my 351w in my 69 Grande. Pressure is the key.
