Default Sandblasting is Cool!

Finally tried sandblasting using a pressurized tank I bought from Harbor Freight. All I can say isthant I'm hooked.Curently stripping my engine bay and have tried bristle brushes, wire wheels, andairplanestipper. All I can say is that sandblasting rocks - messy but rocks!

Can I ask what your using to blast? When I bought my stuff from them, i used the glass bead they had on hand. When I ran out they told me to use play sand.....

I had the same sand blaster from harbor freight as well. You might want to upgrade all the valves to bigger ones because mine kept on clogging when the sand got too moist from all the compressed air.

but overall it was great, and I didn't use a respirator just the sand blasting mask that came with it, its fine.

rmodel65 is correct in the health issues and a respirator should be worn. This is also why I didn't just Sand Blast but decided to Wet Sand Blast and there is a huge difference. See this other thread which is also going on.
