Yeah, that 6 banger will be just fine for your sister. She will get all the looks and acolades without having to spend a bunch for upgrades. Ignorance is bliss, isn't it?

Yea, I looked at a couple of 6's before my car, but I really wanted a v-8, so I stuck it out. Nothing like the "blub, blub, blub, blub" from an 8 cylinder car [sm=happybounce.gif]

If the floor pans are rusted, there's a good chance that the cowl may also be rusted out. I understand It's a real pain to repair.

You got that right. There are over a hundred spot welds that you have to drill out.

If you are looking for window gaskets, door seals, weather stripping etc...look at Steel Rubber Gasket. They have everything you need and meets OEM standards.

Ah yes, sorry about the pics.. it's been snowing off and on past few days and I really didn't feel like taking the camera out in it, so again, I'll probably have some tomorrow. Also, I just recently found out that we bought a '66 not a '65, I'm not sure why we were told it was a '65, but the grill is definately '66. I have decided let my sister have this one, and just try to find one that already has a v8 and a manual trans, but I'm still gonna get some pics for ya'll.

Welcome to the board man. Im in exactly the same boat as you. 16 years old, '65 200ci, picking up a 351w tomarrow at 9:00am sharp! I got this link somewhere.. I dont remember if its a members site of this board, but it will give you a good realistic look at the 6 to 8 conversion if you choose to do so.
