If you don't, a healthy PCV valve will suck down a huge amount of oil at highway cruise. I suppose you could use a separate oil:fumes separator instead of a baffled valve cover. I ran a set of unbaffled valve covers once. Never again.

just so everyone knows, a baffle can be just a plate blocking the hole so oil doesnt spray everywhere. its bolted on the inside of the cover.
