Default dyno results today

Took my car and got it dyno tuned this week, got it back today. Final results after the tune were 300hp to the ground and just over 300 ft/lbs...torque curve looked nice. I spent some serious dough on a 347 last year about this time and also rebuilt the auto trans...I guess my Cobra intake is holding me back a bit and the guy said if I stepped up to an Edelbrock Air Gap I'd probably push about 330HP...is there really this much of an effect, and is it worth the swap? also, I have a stock 67 289 hood with the blinker option, would I run into any clearance issues?

Thanks!!!

I just put a 347 in my 85 gt and some told me I needed to run a single plain but I really don't have a cam for the r's a single plain is good to so I just transfered the rpm air gap from my 11 to 1 306 to the 347 and I have an xe 282 hr cam and just ran it 2 weeks ago and ran and 11.79 on 2 nd pass @ 117mph..........my guess is it has close to 375 to the rear wheels.....anyway the rpm is more than enoughdepending on what cam and heads you have??? 300 seems a little low for a 347 what are the cam and heads being used??

heads and cam are decent sized and good choice..I'd change intake to the rpm air gap and a 650 double pumper..I'm runnind a 650 and it works well....also exhaust is a little on the small side..I'd of done 2 1/2 min...but none the less your set up looks decent

thats it? i would like you would be pushing around 350-375 with a 347. Isnt it a stroker? My best guess would be a better intake to boost a little more power. I would look into a good kit from wieand with a demon carb. That will make some good power.

it is a Ford racing 347 short block with the add ons I listed....The dyno was dynojet..

Yeah, the feedback from them was up the intake, the exhaust to 2 1/2 and think about the carb...
