I would really like to have a 68 grille or an offset pony emblem.

I might leave it on for this show. Then take it off when i get the parts i need. I am going to repaint the whole engine bay either tomorrow or Thursday. So i won't have enough money to get the pony emblem just yet.

It seems like a huge part of the car for there not to be something even if it is just a pony. The chrome of the front has always appeared to be outlining the grille to show how special it is.... it is a part of the car that everyone sees including yourself.... I am not a fan of grille deletes even on newer stangs but that is just me

To be honest, if I was at a car show and saw one of these classics without a grille, I'd think "That car is missing a rather large part, I wonder why they entered without it."

The grille belongs there.

I have to hardcore disagree with this statement. I think people should enter their cars in shows regardless of condition. If it can make it there safely, then why not. Not all classics are trailered concurs cars for show only, so why make it appear that way. One of my favorite parts of car shows is the "work in progress" section. It is great to see what the owners are doing and hear their plans. Plus, its just a cosmetic difference the OP likes, so its not missing anything in that case. After all, the Bullitt didnt have a grill did it? and it still looked pretty good.

I vote no grill if you like it. However, if you have the stock wheels with hubcaps, it might look kinda funny. not that big of a deal either way tho.

Oh yeah I like that section too. At one car show we had a 67 Fastback in that section. It does look funny with the hubcaps and all. But I don't care.

The Bullitt had a grille, but it didn't have any mustang badging.

Taking off badging for a streamlined look I can understand, but I just don't get not having the grille there... that's a big void.

I voted no grill, it looks nicer IMO.

However, on commercials where the pony is missing, I think thats dumb..Maybe just becuase they are afraid of being sued...

BA, how come it looks like someone gave your pony a black eye?
