Remove rust from chrome - this worked!
I happened to see this product today and thought I'd give it a try even though I have never had real good luck cleaning rusty chrome. This stuff was great. It's hard to take a picture of chrome but here's a shot of my inside rear view mirror with half done and half original. I actually was planning to replace the mirror but now I can keep it, which is great since it is original.

I let it sit about 30 minutes and kept brushing more on to keep it wet. Then I rubbed it with a paper towel. The rust came off the mirror and onto the towel. There is a little bit of pitting where it was real bad, but not enough to notice.
I found it at a regional store called Farm and Fleet. I would suppose other places would have it, like hardware stores and such. The brand is Krud Kutter and the product The Must For Rust.
