Most of my short list of cars I want to own are cars I've owned in the past.
Any year first generation Shelby. I've owned two, a 67 GT500 and a 69 GT500.
Any year Boss mustang.
68 1/2 R code mustang. I've owned two, both fastbacks.
427 or 289 Cobra, I've owned two ERA 427 Cobra replicas and loved them.

Just from what I know: In 1969 Ford wanted to boost moral of our troops in Vietnam so they decide to build 5 special 69-70 Ford Mustangs and ship them oversea's to Vietnam and let the servicemen race them up and down the dragstrips as to boost moral. From what I understand 5 were built and one was destroyed when it arrived in vietnam when the shipping crate it was in broke from the crane and landed on the car leaving only 4 left.Ford put the halt on the letting the troops use the cars when one was injured in a wreck at the drag strip. Now we are down to 3 remaining, after the war they were shipped back to the US and sold at the dealership (you had to know someone in order to get one) 1 went to Florida 2 remained in Detroit.

i would trade my left ******** for the chance to drive a shelby cobra 427 side oiler, my dad had one when he was in high school but the genius sold it[sm=icon_beat.gif]

 

Im thinking drive it stock a Aston Martin Vanquish or a Rolls Phantom.
MY home built dream cars ill just give 3 that I hope to build before I hit 100 years old. lol

1970 ss trim Chevelle 572 and a 6 speed built with Air ride G- Machine setup on front and rear. Red with the black ss stripes

1956 chevy with a 427 with big blower sticking thru the hood with twin velocity stacks, Straight axle on leaf spring front suspension.
Altered wheel base and yes the lil beer keg where the grill used to be!

1950 Mercury low low low air ride setup with a built Banks power stroke f 350 turbo diesel motor and trans for drivetrain.
I am not insane I think this package would tear my built supercharged 347 mustang a new one!
Teardrop grill , rear wheels tucked in the skirts and all you see is the 20" red wheel with the chrome and black tri hub cap on the front. Along with the big fat white wall. This car has to be black cherry with red interior Id love to have the same ac/and heated seats my caddy does.lol
Imagine a huge 4" exhaust cut thru the body turned out with twin tips out the rear.
