I can't answer all of this, but a car has a limit to the backspacing. I think for your car it is 4.25". If you go over that you can scrap parts on your car, you won't be able to turn very well, unless you add spacers.

(people correct me if I am wrong)

the wheel from an 05+ mustang has a 6.25 backspacing. which means when you put the wheel up on the studs, it must go in 6.25 inches before it flush with the brakes. but with this much, the top of the wheel on the inside hits the control arm. theres about 5" between the upper control arm and the brakes. so ideally you want between a 4.25-4.5" backspacing.

the wheels in that add need at least a 1.5" spacer in front and a 1" in back. i have 05 bullits on mine. i have a 2" spacer in front and a 1" in back. i found the 2" spacrs on ebay for $75! pretty cheap imo. cause i kept finding them for $200+ for a pair. the 1" ones i got from mstangsplus for like $55. i wouldnt suggest the 2" spacers though cause mine make a clunking sound when i stop. ive checked the torque on them numerous times but they just arent safe. so i suggest you find some bullits from an 01-04 mustang cause they have a 5.72 backspacing and only need a 1" spacer all the way around. plus they look better than the 05+ bullits. i hate mine actually. ill sell you a pair of brand new 1" spacers. PM me.

I have 1.5" on all four corners of my ride, of course my rear axle is shortened. But I have the 04 Bullitts and I absolutely love them. I got my spacers from summit. They are made by a Private Company called Trans-Dapt. Their T-6 Aluminum and they look awesome as well as weigh almost nothing. Only problem is their going to run you $150 for one pair.
