one down one to go
well I managed to cut the roof off of the donor today. I cant believe how much work it is to remove a roof. Didn't help that I broke my spot weld remover bit after about the tenth spot weld. The only place in town that sells them were closed at 4:00 when I tried to call. I was looking at the frame work of the donor and was thinking that I may not have to do any bracing of my car when I remove my roof. What do you all think. I am going to have it on the rotisserie when I replace it to make it easier for me to cut and weld. I also managed to put a black guide coat on the engine bay so that will be ready to block out for the last time.

I always thought the roof on a coupe was structural. Convertibles had torque boxes...coupes had roofs. I'm certainly not one of the more knowledgable structural people around but if it's not too big a deal to brace it, it would seem like a good idea.
Brace it. A convertible can collapse when on a rotisserie so an coupe with no roof could buckle. Better safe than sorry. It's probably a hundred bucks for some square tubing for the braces versus a permanently wrecked car?
