I have a 66 coupe with a inline 6 and was wondering the approximate MPG? Right now she in being restored but the motor is a fresh rebuild : )

dont expect more then 15mpg. this would all depend on which state you live inand other mods you will or have already made.

Over the last 1200 miles my 289 has averaged 18.22 MPG.
You should get at least that. If you drive like an old lady.

my I6 200 gets around 15-18 ,mostly driving around town and a little highway.

i think i get 6-8 mpg but i have a heavy foot and a nice little 289

I have an I6 200 that has been bored .040 and I get around 23 or so. I would expect more than that from a fresh rebuild.

right now I get approx 18 mpg with pertronix and 40k coil, am fiddiling around with the timeing right now as at one time I was getting approx 23mpg, my engine is original with a rebuilt head on it, 3 spd manual tranny ,,,cali smog

Been a while since I checked, but was 16 mpg in town and 23 on the road last time I checked.
