Default t5 clutch cable adjustment question

I can see the throwout bearing though the bellhousing its touching the clutch.

How much pressure should the throwout bearing make with the clutch when the clutch is out? Its no possible to have a gap between the clutch and throwout bearing is it?

Thanks

I'm assuming you're using a late model centrifugal clutch The throwout bearing should be preloaded against the presure plate fingers. I basically pulled the arm up as hard as I physically could by hand tightened my cable down to that pressure load.

Yes its a King Cobra 10.5"

having that much pressure against the throwout bearing isn't going to wear it out prematurely? I realize its not hardly loaded but it just seems it would be better to have 1/8" gap between the fingers and the throwout bearing. Why is that not the case why do they want that throwout bearing to turn all the time.
